Intel® Driver & Support Assistant Stopped after latest Win 11 Update Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (KB5067103) (26120.6780) plus Windows 11, version 24H2 Updates. (11/10/2025)
Intel® Driver & Support Assistant Stopped working after the above Windows Updates were installed.
I have tried reinstalling the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant on many occasions but the programme when refreshed just keeps searching for updates without stopping.
This is I believe due to the fact that the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant has the latest Graphics drivers to my Acer Swift Go (System Model) Swift SFG16-72.
I cannot install the graphics driver with driver and support assistant because it all comes up failed after installing, even the same software advises that is the latest driver.
I generally download the latest Graphics Driver (from Search - Intel.com) and manually install the graphics driver in the laptop. The latest graphics driver for my laptop is Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8136.
There is always conflict when I add a driver other than windows suggest which is the Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.7126. So much so that on boot up of my laptop the graphics driver goes from 8136 to 7126 as per the suggested windows update.
I have to then go into Device manager and update the display driver back to 8136.
So there is the conflict!
Windows Technicians must have noticed this, and they must have put a block on the Intel Driver and Support Assistant which stops it from advising you of new drivers updates and installing the new drivers updates other than the suggested their own Windows drivers.
I cannot use the intel driver and support assistant.
I was wondering if there is a way around this problem because I do like to have the latest drivers installed into my laptop.
Regards Vic
