Hello everyone,
I manage IT for a corporationbased in Lagos, Nigeria. I’m looking to build or buy a workstation optimized for AI workloads and data processing. Given Intel’s latest CPUs, I’m considering options with Intel Xeon or Intel Core i9 processors, but I’d love some advice on balancing performance and budget.
Key factors I’m considering:
High core count & multi-threading for machine learning tasks
GPU compatibility (NVIDIA or Intel Arc) for deep learning
RAM & storage recommendations for handling large datasets
Would appreciate recommendations on specific Intel CPUs, compatible motherboards, and where to source bulk components affordably .
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
The detailed models of hardware is hard to recommend.
I compare Xeon and Core i9 here.
Hope it will help you!
Xeon: stable, more CPU cores, powerful IO support: more memory, disk, network, PCIE.
Core i9: Powerful CPU cores: frequency, performance.
For your requirements:
High core count & multi-threading - Xeon
GPU compatibility - Xeon support more PCIE slot x16.
RAM & storage recommendations - Xeon
If you only need 4 GPUs, you could choose Xeon Workstation.
If more than 4 GPUs, choose Xeon Server.
