I have had success in running the Beta version of Vtl for linux (build 620) on some of my codes.
However, for one of them vtl refuses to run, failing with the output

Debug: Assertion failed '(the_text_ && the_data_)' at Bistro/elf/output_image_elf.cpp:721
Segment is not initialized yet
I typically execute:
vtl activity test -c callgraph -app test.run -moi test.run
vtl run
Vtl was installed as root.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

Two ideas!
1) delete the directories /tmp/vtune_/Cache and /opt/intel/vtune/global_data/ISM and rerun the activity; if that doesn't work
2) submit an issue at Intel Premier Support. Premier Support is the official technical support mechanism for the VTune analyzer.
Regards,
