I recently installed Intel(R) oneAPI VTune(TM) Profiler 2021.8.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation release 7.3 system. When I enter "vtune-gui" from the terminal window, I see a black square where the splash screen would be, after a few minutes, it ends with the message, "Failed to Launch VTune Amplifier GUI".
I have attached the output from: vtune-self-checker.sh
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John Parke

Hi John,
Could you please copy content (logs) from $HOME/.intel/vtune/logs and upload it here?
As an alternative you could use VTune Server (VTune Web Server interface). Run:
/opt/intel/oneapi/vtune/2021.8.0/bin64/vtune-backend
Then you'll see in the console output 'Serving GUI at https://******".
Then you can open the provided URL in a browser and use VTune in the browser.
Here is the documentation for VTune Server launch: https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/documentation/vtune-help/top/launch/web-server-ui.html.
