I am reading the IntelPress Vtune book and I can see in some sections of it that the author talks about ratios of events for example CPI where you compute Number of clokc ticks i.e Cycles by the Num of Instruction Retired to get that value and use this in comparisons.
I need to get an average of 2nd Level Cache misses per cycle similar CPI but for cache misses. Does just dividing the Num of Cache misses sampled by the clockticks sampled correct? or meaningful?
Different weights and different Sample After Values etc.
Any ideas?
