I also am having this issue with VTune 2020 Update 3, that it is not recognizing my i7-8700t. Can you please explain how you updated sep and where you obtained the new version? Anything you can recommend to replicate your fix would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Hi.

Could you provide 'VTUNE_INSTALL_DIR/bin64/sep.exe -version' output?

Thanks, Kirill

While VTune installer complained, it seems to run just fine and perhaps I can safely ignore its message that it didn't recognize the CPU on install. It still says it can't recognize the GPU (integrated on the i7, not a discrete unit) but that's not a bother right this second.

Hi,

Your sep tool output is fine. In your last post you have mentioned that your cpu analysis is also working fine. So do you have any other update? Is your issue resolved?
