Since I updated VTune locally to 2022.4.0, I can no longer use the Remote Linux analysis. I have reinstalled VTune multiple times, and nothing changed.
The error message I get on my local instance when connected to my server is:
Cannot enable Hardware Event-based Sampling due to a problem with the driver (sep*/sepdrv*). Check that the driver is running and the driver group is in the current user group list. See the "Sampling Drivers" help topic for further details.
This applies to every analysis I chose. However, when I use the command line tool on the server, analysis works fine and I am able to copy and open the result locally.
Already read the Sampling Drivers topic, (re-)installed all drivers multiple times, installed VTune as a root user, removed the installation, and let my local VTune instance install VTune on the remote systems.
`sepdk/src/insmod-sep -q` shows me all drivers loaded (remotely):
pax driver is loaded and owned by group "vtune" with file permissions "660".
socperf3 driver is loaded and owned by group "vtune" with file permissions "660".
sep5 driver is loaded and owned by group "vtune" with file permissions "660".
socwatch driver is loaded and owned by group "vtune" with file permissions "660".
vtsspp driver is loaded and owned by group "vtune" with file permissions "660".
Maybe someone has an idea, what else can I try? Thanks!
