Is there a patch available for vTune to support the Woodcrest processor?

Got it! Thanks. That's actually the 8.0.1 beta. Looks like the Merom/Woodcrest processor has some new events and facilities (like non-programable counters and precise sampling) and events. The June update of the Software Developer's manuals don't describe these processors at all.
