about bus utilization

I get from vtune's user_guide that the formula to calculate bus utilization is : BUS_TRANS_ANY.ALL_AGENTS * 2 / CPU_CLK_UNHALTED.BUS

And can you tell me why we get *2 here, or why this formula equals bus utilization ?

It's because it takes 2 bus cycles to transfer a cache line. The cache is 64 bytes. The bus is 8 bytes, quad pumped.
