You can purchase or download an evaluation copy of the software at this URL:
http://www.intel.com/software/products/vtune/vlin/After you've purchased or downloaded the eval, you run the ./install program, logged on as root. (If you start the install as a non-root user, you'll be prompted for the root password during the install. If you don't know it, the installation will stop.)
