Intel Names Sarah Kemp as VP of International Government Affairs

Sarah KempSarah KempToday, Intel announced that Sarah Kemp will join its Government Affairs team as Vice President and General Manager of International Government Affairs and assume leadership of Intel’s government relations globally. In this role, she will lead a unified government affairs strategy to shape public policy priorities, engage key government audiences and accelerate growth in every country where Intel does business. 

“With a profound understanding of how policy gets done, it is an honor to have Sarah join us,” said Bruce Andrews, Intel’s Chief Government Affairs Officer. “She is an accomplished leader with decades of global policy expertise, and a proven track record of developing new policy platforms and executing global strategy. Sarah will play a critical role in driving a unifying strategy and enabling seamless execution across the organization.” 

Kemp said: “I am excited to share that I will join Intel to lead international government affairs during this exciting time of transformation for the company and the chip industry. I look forward to partnering with Bruce and the government affairs team to execute Pat’s IDM 2.0 vision while continuing to create world-changing technology that improves the life of every person on the planet.” 

As a recognized global policy expert and leader, Ms. Kemp will direct execution of Intel’s coordinated, worldwide efforts in diverse policy environments, building trust and partnership with government officials, navigating highly complex issues and delivering results that advance business strategy. This includes aligning Intel’s overall public policy positions across a range of fast-moving, business-critical areas, such as manufacturing, intellectual property, geopolitical strategy and transformative technologies like cloud, IoT and AI. 

Previously, Ms. Kemp served as Associate Vice President, Head Global Women’s Health Policy and ESG Strategy at Organon, a global healthcare company. She has a long record of diplomatic service focusing on trade in the Asia Pacific, including as Deputy Under Secretary for the International Trade Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and Foreign Commercial Service Officer posted throughout East Asia. 

She is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on China and holds an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MPA from Columbia University.
