Every year we hire students all across the globe: US, Latin America, Europe, Asia. Sometimes these are summer placements, at times 6 months internships or in some locations interns stay with us for over a year. We work hard to make sure our interns get the most positive experience with us during their time with us. Earlier this year, Lucy shared what the internship experience is like in the US, but what about the rest of the world? I’m here today to share some comments from our interns in Russia on their experiences:

“The team is pretty important to me. It is the atmosphere of mutual care and support that helps me explore myself and evolve. It is the team that makes me smile every morning on my way to the office.”Evgenia, HR Intern from the Linguistic University of Nizhny Novgorod

“The experience you get at Intel is really diverse. There are no programmed challenge-handling approaches, one could always suggest something new and any idea will be taken into account.” Anastasia, Finance Intern from the Higher School of Economics in Nizhny Novgorod

“Intel provides a student with an opportunity to resolve real-life issues in the best working conditions.” Ivan, Technical Intern from the Sarov Physics Technical University

“This is my first real work which is targeted at results and makes me think and seek new methods and approaches. Everything I do at Intel makes perfect sense and really exciting.” Petr, Software Developer Intern from the Moscow State University

“I waited for the internship I have now the way people wait for a comet that passes the Earth once in every 200 years! Well, I got it, it’s like being onboard a spacecraft named Intel!” Dmitry, .NET Developer Intern from the Higher School of Economics in Nizhny Novgorod

“The tasks that seemed unmanageable do not seem that way anymore because in the end you get to understand that with Intel everything is possible.” Maxim, Technical Intern from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology

“Now I know that work is not about boring routine that my friends always mention. Work is what you like, and what gives you a full load of remarkable impressions, especially when your team are the top professionals.” Polina, PR Intern from the Novosibirsk State University

“I loved the way Intel matched my personality with my current role – I feel comfortable, and I strongly believe in the necessity of what I do. I never thought I’d care about my work that much, or that it would make me as happy.” Karina, Employee Communications Intern from the Linguistic University of Nizhny Novgorod

“After completing an internship one has enhanced opportunities for full-time employment, which is a dream pursued by many of my friends.” Alexey, Software Intern from the Higher Schools of Economics in Nizhny Novgorod

“I’ve been getting off on music and sound recording ever since I was a kid, and now what I do at work is closely connected to my primary passion. The knowledge I’ve acquired through the course of my work with Intel helps me to deal with the challenges we face in our rock band.” Oleg, Media Software Developer Kit Intern from the Nizhny Novgorod State University
