We are happy to announce a new developer training and certification program: Intel® Certified Developer - MLOps Professional.

As we have worked with developers to deploy AI projects into production and add AI to existing applications, we have heard the need for more expertise in applying development operations (DevOps) practices to machine learning and AI applications. Machine learning operations (MLOps) is a focus within broader DevOps that requires the ability to optimize across the hardware-software stack to meet the compute demands of AI and the application's requirements. Here are a few more details on this program.

What is the Intel® Certified Developer - MLOps Professional offering?

This is a self-paced curriculum with video lessons and hands-on labs that utilize the Intel® Developer Cloud to build the MLOps Professional skillset. The MLOps Professional training package is designed to prepare you for the professional certification exam, proctored and offered by Pearson VUE*.

Who should take this course?

Whether you are an AI developer looking to deploy and productize your application or an experienced DevOps engineer looking to add AI/ML to existing applications, or if you are new to both and hoping to uplevel your career options, this course material will benefit you. Designed to be self-paced, you can navigate through the sections most relevant to the skills you are looking to build and skip past any sections you have already mastered.

What is included?

There are 7 self-paced modules that include 26 video lessons and 8 hands-on labs. Once you have completed the self-paced sections, there is a live workshop where you can build a capstone project to showcase your differentiated skillset to future employers. The training package also includes a Q&A session with Intel experts and 1 practice certification exam – all designed to prepare you for the professional certification exam.

What topics are covered?

The topics include DevOps concepts such as software solution architectures, APIs, and endpoint design. The AI-specific topics include the principles of MLOps, building end-to-end pipelines, optimizing the full hardware-software stack, and designing cloud-native AI applications. See the full course module details.

Why is Intel offering this course?

Intel is committed to helping developers grow their skills and careers. We have identified a large skills gap in MLOps, which is impacting many companies’ ability to get the most out of their available hardware when developing and deploying AI applications. We have captured our experience in this area from our internal and customer projects and are sharing those industry best practices.

Who is the instructor?

Eduardo Alvarez is a Senior AI Solutions Engineer at Intel, specializing in architecting AI/ML solutions, MLOps, and deep learning. With a background in the energy tech startup space, he managed a team focused on delivering SaaS applications for subsurface AI in hydrocarbon and renewable energy exploration and production. Now at Intel, Eduardo collaborates across technical teams, designing impactful solutions highlighting the Intel software and hardware stack's influence on deep learning and generative AI workloads.

Where can I learn more?

There is more detail on the Intel® Certified Developer – MLOps Professional landing page. This is also where you can sign up for the course and certification exam.

What is the next step for me if and when I become certified?

Hi @andre4 - upon successfully passing the certification exam, you receive a Credly badge. This acts as proof of your completion that can be easily searched and referenced by prospective employers. Since the course also involves a real capstone project, that experience is also valuable in applying to the numerous MLOps opportunities out there!

@Jack_Erickson thanks for your response. Do we also get an actual certificate we can add to our resume? Thanks.

Hi,

I recently enrolled to the training. I am in the first section where I have to claim the Cloud Credits via cloud.intel.com. I entered the given coupon and it says "Error : the provided coupon code (<coupon omitted from comment> ) does not exists. please provide a valid coupon code". Please guide me on how to proceed.

Thank you.

EDIT : Hi, Update on my previous comment.

The coupon worked after attempting a few more time.

  • I entered with and without the '-' in between.
  • I manually entered and also copy pasted.

I am not sure why the first multiple attempts failed but Now I have the Lab credits.

Thank you
