Single-cell RNA-Sequencing provides transcriptional profiling of thousands of individual cells, and transcriptional profiling is the process of identifying a rare disease condition, ways to diagnose, and check whether the body responds to treatment.

Krittika Kanjilal, in her blog, proposed a solution for single-cell RNA analysis using Intel® AI Analytics Toolkit (AI Kit) and Intel® Extension for Scikit-learn*. Single-cell RNA-Sequencing allows us to study gene expression and mutation in rare diseases. The main idea behind this project is to help researchers, biologists, and clinicians identify and classify cancerous and non-cancerous cells in single-cell RNA sequencing data accurately. This is an important task in cancer research and diagnosis.

The blog explains the various steps involved in the project:

  1. Installation of required libraries
  2. Data Preprocessing
  3. Model Training
  4. Model Testing
  5. Deploy the model using Streamlit
