Integrating in my own application the control of brightness, gamma, contrast and other monitor parameters

Dear all,

I am planning an application where I need to control display parameters directly from my sw interface.

As mentioned into the Title, I need to access to Brightness control, contrast control, gamma tuning, Monitor posizion and size etc...

is there any .dll of facility tool to interface my software with those parameters?

The OS could be Windows XP or Linux Ubuntu; at present the OS is not so important, because I can adapt to availability of the library. but, is this library existing?
