If I convert my Windows to run 64bit instead of 32bit, can I allocate a lot more memory to the HD3000? Is this a programatically configurable option or is this hard set by the bios.

Hello,

"If I convert my Windows to run 64bit instead of 32bit, can I allocate a lot more memory to the HD3000?"
I don't think so. Maximum memory is 1.7GB, and you don't need 64bit for that.

You may even end with less available video memory. The heavier the operating system, the less the amount of free memory available for the video ram.

The amount of graphics memory in use is dynamically allocated by the chipset, so I don't think you can change this.

Hope that helps.
