Request for EEUpdate Tool and Firmware (.bin) for Intel I210 – NVMUpdate Not Supported

We are currently working on updating the firmware of an Intel I210 Ethernet controller. I attempted to use the "nvmupdate" utility along with the .bin files downloaded from "https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/15084/intel-ethernet-adapter-complete-driver-pack.html" ; however, the update was unsuccessful. The tool reported the device as a "Blank NVM device" and stated that an update was not available.

Upon further investigation, I found that "nvmupdate" does not support the I210 controller, please confirm. It appears that the correct tool for this operation is EEUpdate, which is specifically designed for client and embedded Ethernet controllers like the I210.

Unfortunately, access to the EEUpdate tool and the required .bin firmware files appears to be restricted and requires privileged access through the Intel Resource and Design Center.

Request: I would like to request access to the following:

  • EEUpdate utility (DOS or EFI version) for Intel I210
  • The appropriate .bin firmware image for the I210 controller
  • Any relevant documentation or usage guidelines

Use Case: This request is part of a firmware recovery and update process for a system that integrates the Intel I210 controller. We are performing board bring-up and require the correct tools to proceed.

Please let me know if any additional information.

Thank you for your support.

Hello @SNadendla,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

We are not permitted to share any restricted files.

You may try to request for a Premier account:

Or you can try contacting an Intel Sales Representative to get further help regarding the NDA to get access to the tool and the NVM image.
