Hi,
With regards to the display interfaces of the Atom E3950 chip, is it possible to drive an eDP display panel using the DDI0 (DP/HDMI) interface ? We have tested DDI2 (eDP dedicated) and DDI0 (DP/HDMI dedicated) with their respective supporting displays and they work.
However, we would like to test both interfaces using a single monitor (eDP compliant monitor) and would like to know if it's possible given the protocol DDI0 is dedicated too.
Theoretically the two standards (eDP & DP) are similar and the idea should work by not connecting lanes 2 & 3 provided by the DP interface to the eDP screen. We are aware of the additional back-light control that eDP offers but we have a work around for this.
Warm Regards,

Hello @Nade786
Thanks for your patience, according to my research the setup that you intend to perform is not validated by Intel, this does not mean that this will work or not, it only means that Intel does not test or troubleshoot this type of setup.
The recommendation would be to use a DP to eDP adapter.
Best Regards,
