WEBS-2190 is rugged, compact, fan-less

and ideal for Kiosk, Digital Signage, IVI and Factory Automation applications

Portwell, Inc., (http://www.portwell.com.tw/ http://www.portwell.com.tw), a world-leading innovator in the Industrial PC (IPC) market and a Premier member of the Intel® Internet of Things (IoT) Solutions Alliance announces the release of the WEBS-2190, a fan-less embedded system featuring Intel® Atom™ processor E3800. Its rugged, compact design plus low power consumption make WEBS-2190 the perfect solution for applications in kiosk, digital signage, in-vehicle mobile video surveillance, medical, defense and the harsh environments of factory automation.

The new rugged WEBS-2190 is equipped with the Portwell NANO-6060, Nono-ITX embedded system board based on the Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 product family (formerly codenamed Bay Trail, 5W~10W), which integrates the Intel® Gen 7 graphics architecture with performance that doubles that of the previous generation. The NONO-6060 also features one single channel 24-bit LVDS connection; one DisplayPort (DP) on the rear I/O with resolution up to 2560 x 1600; one on-board VGA port with resolution up to 1920 x 1200; and 204-pin non-ECC SODIMM supporting up to 4GB of DDR3L. In addition, the NANO-6060 is designed to operate under the wide industrial temperature ranging from -40ºC to 85ºC required by numerous critical applications.

"Thanks to the Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 series' superior, up to quad-core processing power and high capability, Portwell's NONO-6060 Nano-ITX board delivers greater performance than its predecessors," says Torres Liu, Portwell's product manager, "yet is still packed within a compact 120mm x 120mm footprint."

The WEBS-2000 embedded system series is built from a "brick" concept design created by Portwell to simplify system customization. It implements an intelligent structure by building the system chassis using three simple elements: wall, pillar and cover. This innovative design of the WEBS systems series enables flexible and easy customization. Specifically, this flexible structure makes it easy to adjust chassis size to meet different board form factors for different applications. The Portwell WEBS-2190 further benefits from the brick concept chassis with top cover/heat sink mechanism that facilitates efficient heat dissipation. The rugged and compact WEBS-2190 supports an industrial temperature ranging from -25ºC to 60ºC for harsh environment operations, while at the same time, its fan-less design ensures silent operation, reliability and low maintenance rate and costs.

"With its superior, up to quad-core processing power, high capability and Gen 7 3D graphics engine, WEBS-2190 is indeed an ideal solution for high computing power and/or high 3D video/image applications," Liu confirms.
