I see that Intel has released documentation about FSP v1.1 (http://firmware.intel.com/learn/fsp/about-intel-fsp Intel® FSP - About | Intel® Architecture Firmware Resource Center) but has not yet released any FSP firmware binaries which comply with FSP v1.1 (https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/intelligent-systems/intel-firmware-support-package/intel-fsp-overview.html Intel® Firmware Support Package Preserves Frameworks).
I'm most interested in the Bay Trail E3800 version of the FSP. When will a v1.1 compliant FSP for Bay Trail E3800 be available for use?
Thanks!

Hello Andrew,
According to our next technical level of support, there is no plan to support FSP 1.1 on BYT. BYT will only support FSP 1.0 flow. FSP 1.1 is for any new FSP projects.
Please let us know if you have any other question.
Best Regards.
Josue.

Hi Josue,
Yes, I'm specifically looking for the ability to use the Boot Flow 2 (outlined in the FSP v1.1 specification documentation) which does not exist in FSP 1.0 or in the GOLD 3 release for E3800 Bay Trail. Within Boot Flow 2, having the ability to let the bootloader relocate itself from the temporary RAM (cache as ram) and into main SDRAM memory would be much preferred over Boot Flow 1.
Do you know when a release of the next FSP for E3800 Bay Trail may happen?
Thanks!

Josue,
OK, thank you for your response. It is unfortunate that there will not be an FSP v1.1 release for Bay Trail.
Thanks,
Andrew
