BLDK memory configuration

Hello,

We are developing a platform based on the Intel Atom E6xx Processor and the Intel EG20T IOH. We use the Intel BLDK technology to create a customized bootloader for the platform. We saw that most of the BLDK software is open source, except for some parts which are only available in binary format. For example, the memory initialization which we think is performed in MemoryInitPei.efi seems to only be available in binary format. Since we like to experiment with different settings for the memory, I want to ask if it is somehow possible to get the source code of this part of the BLDK software? If not, is there another way to change the memory configuration?

Hi Mizukimori:

In order to obtain the source code for the MemoryInitPei module, you will need to execute a Restricted Secrets Non-disclosure agreement (RSNDA) with Intel. One piece of intellectual property covered by this NDA is the Memory initialization Reference Code (MRC) for "Tunnel Creek" (Intel Atom E6xx). Once the RSNDA has been executed, your Intel account will be updated to unlock and make visible a link to a file called "CB-EDKII-PostGold-2.3.6.8_Source.exe". The link should appear here: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/embedded/hwsw/software/bldk?iid=subhdr+hwsw_bldk# download http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/embedded/hwsw/software/bldk?iid=subhdr+hwsw_bldk# download http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/embedded/hwsw/software/bldk?iid=subhdr+hwsw_bldk# downloadhttp://www.intel.com/p/en_US/embedded/hwsw/software/bldk?iid=subhdr+hwsw_bldk# download http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/embedded/hwsw/software/bldk?iid=subhdr+hwsw_bldk# download

This is a self-extracting archive that contains ALL of the BLDK "C" source code, including the "Tunnel Creek" and "Topcliff" modules that are usually delivered as binary files.

You will need to contact your local Intel Sales Representative to start the RSNDA process. In my experience, you need to query Intel constantly to keep this process moving forward. In addition to the RSNDA, you will need to complete a form titled "Confidential Information Transmittal Record for Restricted Secret Information" (RS-CITR). This second form is where you specify that you desire access to the "CB-EDKII-PostGold-2.3.6.8_Source.exe" file.

Good luck!
