Documentation for Pentium E5200, G31 Express Chipset, ICH7

Hello,

I would like to know how I could gain access to non-public documentation for the Pentium® E5200 (S-Spec SLB9T), the 82G31 GMCH and the ICH7 - for example, the relevant "Bios Writer's Guide"s, "Programmer's Reference Manual"s, etc.

Thank you.

Double posting is not necessary or desired.   Stay with your other thread.

Doc (not an Intel employee or contractor)

I noticed there was an "Embedded Developers" board, and decided to post here, thinking it more appropriate. There seems to be no option to delete the other thread.

Hello, @ishraq:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

We want to address the following question to better understand your request:

Could you please clarify that your ICH7 information request is related to the Intel® 82801GDH I/O Controller?

We are waiting for your clarification.

Best regards,

@CarlosAM_INTEL.

@CarlosAM_INTEL

If the only distinction I need to make is between "Desktop" and "Mobile", then yes, I need documentation for the Desktop line of ICH7 I/O Controllers. But to be more specific, I believe I am working with an Intel® 82801GB ICH7.

Hello, @ishraq:

Thanks for your reply.

The information that may answer your last question can be found on the following website:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/io/i-o-controller-hub-7-datasheet.html

We suggest referring to the information stated on page 39 of the Intel® I/O Controller Hub 7 (ICH7) Family Datasheet provided on the previous website.

This channel is focused on support Intel Embedded devices.

The Intel® Pentium® Processor E5200 and Intel® 82G31 Graphics and Memory Controller are not embedded devices, as you may confirm on the following websites:

@CarlosAM_INTEL.

@CarlosAM_INTEL

Thank you for your help. Where should I look for documentation ("Bios Writer's Guide"s, "Programmer's Reference Manual"s and such) for the other two devices?

Hello, @ishraq:

Thanks for your update.

You should address your request related to the cited non-embedded devices via the Processors forum that can be found on the following website:
