Hello,
First of all, thanks to Intel for such a wonderful tool. It made for me life easier in many ways.
I am new to Embedded Board Planner tool so I have couple of questions:
1) Can I add any external chip to motherboard?
I am interested on adding Intel Remote Management Module or any alternative like ASPEED ipmi?
2) Can I add PCIe male connector to one edge of the motherboard for connecting to PCIe backplane?
3) Using Embedded Board Planner can I design PCIe backplae with 5 - 10 PCIe connectors for connecting PCIe board computers on it?
Thank you in advance.

Hello Carlos,
Thank you for reply.
Unfortunately I did not get any answers with that video. I understand that you can add additional component to board but what about wiring?
Maybe there are some technical documentations or any books about using Embedded Board Planner?
My questions are the same.
1) Can I add any type of ipmi chip on board?
I am interested on adding Intel Remote Management Module or any alternative like ASPEED ipmi?
2) Can I add PCIe male connector to one edge of the motherboard for connecting to PCIe backplane?
My goal is to design board computer like this:
http://solutionsdirectory.intel.com/solutions-directory/caerus-server-board-intel%C2%AE-atom%E2%84%A2-processor-c25002700-family Caerus - Server board with Intel® Atom™ Processor C2500/2700 Family | Solutions Directory
It has PCIe male connector on the edge, and ipmi chip as well.
3) Using Embedded Board Planner can I design PCIe backplane with 5 - 10 PCIe connectors for connecting PCIe board computers on it?
Here, my goal is to design backplane for connecting several board computers on it through PCIe.
Best regards,
Beka
