Hi J_Ehret,

Acording to the part number, we find the actual product is: Intel® Pentium® Processor with MMX™ Technology 233 MHz, 66 MHz FSB.

However, this prodcut is way too old and end of support, I tried to locate some document for it, but I was not able to find any.

May I please ask the reason why you need the BSDL for such a old product ? Maybe we could help you out.

Best Regards

Stephen

We have an old design which was using the 266Mhz part but we can no longer get that part. We were able to locate a sufficient quantity of the 233Mhz parts in the market to sustain production through end of life of the product so we are switching over the 233Mhz part. We use boundary scan to load the software so we need to have the functionality and there is a difference in the implementation of boundary scan in the devices.

Hello, J_!

Upon further review of your Intel accounts, it doesn't appear that you have any EDC roles. So, just go to http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/intelligent-systems/embedded-design-center-contact-us.html Intel® Embedded Design Center Contact and Support and click the APPLY NOW link to apply for a Privileged EDC account. Let us know when you've done that so we can speed through the process for you.

I experienced several issues with the BSDL. The BIST command was not 1149.1 compliant so I commented it out since I was not interested in BIST. The ID code does not match the part I am using so I changed that. The BSDL talks about A stepping and B stepping and the the BSDL is initially configured for B stepping. It also states there is A stepping information in the file which I do not see so I made the ID code match the hardware I have. The boundary scan register in the device is 15 bits longer than what is defined in the BSDL.

Would you hava any other files I could try?

Hello J_Ehret

I have been searching for other BSDL files that might suit your needs, but at the moment that was the only file that I was able to find, I'll keep searching but it might take some time.

I'll also submit your question to the person that helped me to find the BSDL file, he might be able to give you some advice, but bear in mind that since the product is out of support there is no guarantee that we might be able to help you.

Sorry for not being more helpful at the moment.

Regards,

Adolfo.
