I am trying to enable CAT on several CPUs.
The CPUs I have are the i7-1185GRE and i7-1370PE, and according to the following RDT document, specifically referencing the B.1.4.1 Processor Support List, these CPUs are supported:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/content-details/789566/intel-resource-director-technology-intel-rdt-architecture-specification.html
I configured the kernel with CONFIG_X86_CPU_RESCTRL=y using Yocto and successfully booted Linux by building the core-image-minimal. However, I was unable to set L3 CAT on the i7-1185GRE.
Additionally, the i7-1370PE appears as if RDT is not enabled because I cannot mount it with resctrl.
What additional settings do I need to use L3 CAT? Is it possible that the CPUs I have do not support L3 CAT? Please let me know.
