WGI210 is a internet controller, its datasheet says"The PCIe v2.1 (2.5GT/s) Interface is used by the I210 as a host interface", So, if i connect it with SOC(for example, altera soc, xilinx soc),so, WGI210 is used as a host , or as a endpoint? i am a littel confused. in my opinion, it should be used as endpoint, but it says as it a host.........................i am first here

The Intel® Ethernet Controller I210 datasheet lists its feature as host. You can confirm this information in section 1.5, in the Table 1-4, on page 13. You can find the cited document on the following website:
