SPI Programming Guide for Raptor Lake

Hello all,

I am having trouble finding the SPI programming guide for the Intel Core 7 Processor 240H Series 2 processor in the RDC.

I am reaching out to see if I can get help on downloading that guide? I have found other SPI programming guides for other CPUs, just not this one.

Here is more information if it is helpful:

CPUID 01h (Version and Features) reports the Family is 6, the model is BA, and the Stepping is 2.

Based on Table 2-1. CPUID Signature Values of DisplayFamily_DisplayModel of the Intel SDM, 06_BA is the 13th generation Intel Core processors supporting Raptor Lake performance hybrid architecture.

Can I get some help or pointed in the right direction?

Thank you

Hello @_John_ ,

Thank you for contacting the Intel Embedded Community.

You can refer to RDC document #732086, page 5 or 6, depending on the Windows version that you use. From the kit, you should download the CSME FW 16.1.42.2872V3 (Windows 11) or CSME FW 16.1.40.2765v3 (Windows 10).

Once you download the kit, you can check the Alderlake S SPI programming guide. This is also applicable to the Raptor Lake platform.

Please clarify the document number referenced in Table 2-1.

Best regards,

Thank you for getting back to me Tomas!

I was able to successfully download the CSME for Windows 10 and now have the SPI programming guide for it.

Just FYI, the CSME for Windows 11 RDC document #917286 gives access denied when attempting to access it via hyperlink in #732086. It is also not shown in the RDC search either.

Hello @_John_,

You are right, the BKC packages commonly uses another link to access the components to download, the link you mention may help for documents as direct download.

For the BKC, you can check:
