I225-226 series network card and a strange mofcomp or reinstall issue with wyday.com

Hello we are a small company using wyday.com for our licensing system.
Recently we've started to encounter users using our license system having issues registering the software (things have been ok for the last few years. It seems to be very specific with i225-i226 cards at this point we are recommending to users to uninstall. It seems out of the box the drivers are corrupted and disrupt the license from working correctly.

For those with older versions it when we use the link
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/15084/intel-ethernet-adapter-complete-driver-pack.html

it will update and fix the issue. But for some reason with the current version your link will see it's current and not update it.

We found this issue with a few other cards but they seem to have been fixed.
The previous fix was to use Windows Mofcomp to recompile the driver and fix it.
Can you please Help .. I've tried calling tech support but they were busy and I was trying to file a bug but can't find anyplace but here.

Please help.

I have an Asus rugged board nuc (NUC13BRK) with two onboard Intel I226-V NICs with firmware version 2.17 that are getting random disconnects under load, and that are not working as I’d expect from quality Intel NICs under latest FreeBSD 14.2.

So I thought that I’d update the NICs firmware and downloaded the latest complete drivers package from Intel with the NPM update utility. As I understand, the latest firmware version is 2.29 for I226.

But in the in the drivers package there’s no firmware files for I226 (but for I225, I210 etc). Tried updating with every firmware file I could find in the package (through EFI), but with no luck. Strange as Intels own documentation/homepage directs me to the complete drivers package when I’m submitting that I want to download firmware/drivers for the I226.

I’ve downloaded and updated the latest BIOS from Asus, but it doesn’t seem to include any update for the I226.

Advice is appreciated since the NICs are basically useless in this current state, and it doesn’t seem like Asus is interested in fixing the problem.

In my experience with these cards we found that if you can't find the drivers specific for the card you have to make sure the firmware using that card is up to by updating the firmware for the whole mainboard. When trouble shooting the onboard nics that seem to be the fix.

Sounds great, but the chances of Asus fixing this seems highly unlikely. Also, it seems like there is in fact a firmware update available from Intel for the I226, but that it is missing of some strange reason from the NVM Update package. Can someone from Intel comment?
