In order to get better information about your system, please download the Intel System Support Utility (SSU). Run the SSU scan (check "Everything") and save the results. The .txt file with the results please attach to your post.

Hello @BobbyWobbly ,
From the information in the SSU report attached to your post, I can't find what is the model of your system/motherboard. I understand that it is a MSI board and I understand that the Chipset Driver was not installed. The Chipset Driver should be the first software installed after Windows installation. I suggest that you should look in the MSI site for downloads page of your board. Download and install the Chipset Driver, reboot your computer and only then install other drivers (like IO Serial Driver).

Hello,
Still in the same situation, but starting to feel it may be the finger print reader as thats the only thing I can find thats not working.
I will try to find a driver for the finger print reader and see what happens.

Hello,
I'm starting to understand, this is the biggest problem with cheap Chinese Notepads/Laptops is drivers. Drivers are probably available but finding them is impossible.
I had a drive fail and can not find the malefactor of the laptop so a little stuffed really.

Hello BobbyWobbly,
Greetings!!
The white-label Chinese OEM does not provide dedicated drivers for this platform please do confirm once with OEM. The failure related to the Serial IO SPI Host Controller – 54FB may be causing the issue. We recommend installing the generic driver packs from Intel and verifying if the controller functions properly after installation.

If you purchased a pre-built system or third-party motherboard, contact your manufacturer for the latest updates and technical support information.
