Hi All,
in the Intel Ethernet Adapters and Devices User Guide, there is word of the "NVM Update Reference Application" (URA). Since I'd like to develop an application to update the NVM on X710 and possibly other network cards, I'd like to check the NVM URA tool's code. But I can not find it in any Ethernet Release Package. Is there a way to obtain the code?
Regards,
Stefan

Hi shuber,
Greetings.
Thank you for posting in Intel Community Forum.
Regarding your enquiry, can you share the exact Intel ethernet products that you are using? Also, please share if you are using this with which operation system (Windows/Linux//FreeBSD/VMWare/EFI)
Also, we found there is command provided for building and installation NVM URA in link below:
Let me know if this is the one you are looking for or other command code.
Hope this helps.

Hi Sazirah,

I'm trying to build the NVM Uupdate functionality into OpenBSD's ixl(4) driver for basically all of the 700Series network cards, at least original Intel X710-T4 and DA4 as well as XXV710-DA2 and XL710-QDA2 variants, though the process should not change for any card, as long as using the standard nvmupdate.cfg files and NVM binaries from the official NVM update tool or Ethernet Release.
For simplicity's sake, and because I don't fully understand every part in the data sheet, I wanted to have a look at the FreeBSD an / or Linux implementation (i.e. code) of the URE.
Also, we found there is command provided for building and installation NVM URA in link below:
That is exactly the documentation I was referring to above ("in the Intel Ethernet Adapters and Devices User Guide, there is word of the "NVM Update Reference Application" (URA).") . Though, to "build and install" it, I'd need the source code, to which there's no link to be found.
Regards,
Stefan

The Link "https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/secure/forms/intel-premier-support/enrollment.html" from "How to Register and have Access to Intel® Premier Support" leads to the "Enroll for Intel Premier Support for Intel FPGAs. I guess there's something wrong on your side of the tooling?
Even so, when I try to Enroll, at the end of the process, the Website does not load completely and stays waiting at the "spinner".
Also, I already am enrolled at Intel Premium-Support, but I can not find the Intel Premier Support" Button in my dashboard, that, according to the linked website, should be there: "Therefore, the Intel Premier Support button will be visible in the My Intel Dashboard under the My Support section."

This is literally the exact same link that I said earlier does not work.
First: I already AM in Premier Support, see attached screenshot (deleted sensitive info).
Second: The link you gave leads to the website titled "How to Register and have Access to Intel® Premier Support", which has the first link "Create your My Intel Account by going to the Sign-In Page" leading to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/secure/forms/intel-premier-support/enrollment.html. When you click there, it forwards to a page that is titled "Enroll for Intel® Premier Support for Intel® FPGAs" (which I don't need). Not regarding that I AM ALREADY in Premier Support, see above.
Third: When i *try* to enroll on the "Enroll fot Intel(r) Premier Support for Intel(r) FPGAs", the last stel ("submit" either fails silently (with the intel "spinner") or gives me the wonderful error message "Oops! the reCAPTCHA verification failed. Please reload the page or try again after some time.".
I know that this is not your fault, but it is very frustrating to try to go through all necessary hoops and loops when all I need is a link to a git repository to clone, or a tar.gz file to check out.
So, I ask again: Where on my Dashboard or the whole intel website can I find the possibility to write an Intel Premier Support Ticket, or even just the e-mail address I can write a nice, short email with the word "shibboleet " in it?
(Yes, I tried three different browsers and two different operating systems to try to get your website to work. Yes, I've even disabled Browser Extensions and DNS blocking. Yes, I have looked into at least four versions of the Ethernet adapter complete package and didn't find the code. YES, I know what I want. And YES, at this point I'd even be fine if someone says "what you want isn't possible / available anymore because of $reasons", because right now it's just VERY frustrating trying to click through a website that, apparently, I'm either too stupid to use or is just utterly broken.)
Again, Sorry, frustrated me talking. I know, it's not your fault, and probably I'm just plain too stupid to find the right link.
