Trunking support for network adapters

Hi all;

I am planning to buy an Intel's Network Interface Card for installation on a desktop PC to run Hyper-V / ESXi. In my scenario, I want to use VLAN tagging on my vSwitch part. Now my question is, do I need to use physical NICs that support Trunking or every NIC can help?
