On WGI210AT, when using an external oscillator Xtal 2 must be grounded. (11.6.5.2 page 800 ).
Xtal2 is an output, chapter 11.6.5.2 External Clock Oscillator Specifications, could it be in error?
Can I see a schematic diagram of the internal clock circuit of the WGI210 Ethernet Controller?

Hi Faez, thanks for your availability,
even if I provided a 0 Ohm resistor on pin 45 Xtal2, connected to ground as described on the Intel® Ethernet Controller I210 datasheet, to avoid surprises, I'm pleased to go into depth before starting the tests on the new project.
On page 800, (Intel® Ethernet Controller I210 Datasheet), fig.11-9: XTAL2(Out) connect to GND !
The comment to paragraph 11.6.5.2 says : When using an external oscillator the following connection must be used.
This connection,(XTAL2 TO GND), is not foreseen in the document : Intel® Ethernet I210-AS/IS Reference Design: Schematic, sheet 5, when used Y4.
Best Regards
