Performance and crash issues with Intel Arc B580 – Fortnite and The Witcher 3

Hello,
I recently bought an Intel Arc B580 graphics card and I'm experiencing some problems in certain games.

In Fortnite, when I switch to Performance Mode, the game crashes a few seconds after launching. It works fine with DX11 and DX12, but since I play competitively, I prefer Performance Mode and it's hard to play seriously without it.

In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, performance seems much lower than expected. I play on a 1080p monitor, but in Novigrad with Ray Tracing: Performance and XeSS set to Quality, I get drops to 20 FPS, which seems very low for this card.

  • Resizable BAR is enabled

  • Latest drivers installed: 32.0.101.6881

  • I used DDU, but not in safe mode

  • My previous GPU was from AMD, if that makes any difference

I would appreciate any tips or help — maybe some Windows settings are causing issues?

Best regards

What CPU do you have?
Could be bottlenecking.

Also could be just that you are pushing the poor guy too hard, Witcher 3 can BARELY hit 60FPS with the RTX 4090 with RTX on max settings. And that card has 48gbs of VRAM and is several times faster than the B580
Id just disable ray tracing and Xess, run it in native resolution, ultra settings, I think you're expecting a bit too much out of a 250 dollar card.

I have the same problem too. I don't know if it's coming from the processor or the motherboard, and I have a Ryzen 7 5700X. Can you tell me the model of your motherboard?
