Seeking OpenGL 2.1 ?

Hello ... Hopefully this is the right place.

Trying to get some software running and the graphics requires a minimum of OpenGL 2.1.

Frankly I'm not sure what I require in terms of GPU?

On that note, OpenGL 2.1 is at least as old as 2008 ?
So I "should" be able to load a newer version given my machine is 2011 - Toshiba Satellite C670.

Running Win 7 [SP1] x86 - CPU is B940

Graphics card tells me - Intel HD Graphics Family

Most recent driver despite "Updating" is - 8.15.10.2353

[That tells me I might be at the limit?]

Downloaded and 'attempted' both exe's:

win32_15.36.5180

win32_15.40.5171

Neither will install - produced a message that the laptop's system doesn't meet the min requirements.

Other than trying to figure if I've got a high enough driver version I'm struggling to even find OpenGL 2.1 or what I can even load to have this work.

So if someone could kindly point me in the right direction that would be great.

Regards, Orion

Orion99, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

Just to let you know, the Intel® Pentium® Processor B940 is under status of: End Of Interactive Support / Discontinued as you can confirm in the following link:

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/55626/intel-pentium-processor-b940-2m-cache-2-00-ghz.html

So, even though Intel® technical support will no longer be provided for this kind of products, still, as an option you may want to try our Discontinued Products Community to get recommendations from fellow community members:

Or you may also find the Discontinued Products Website helpful to address your request:

Hello Alberto ... Ok thanks for the links.  I'll give it a shot there.  Best I can figure out from the web is that my 'age' of video card should be able to at least handle OpenGL 2.1 which is what I require.  I just need a download [user, not dev] version of it.  I'm new to all this and just trying to run a piano leaning app that's using QT5 and that OpenGL is what I'm missing.

Hello Orion99, You are very welcome, thank you very much for clarifying that information.

Just to let you know, the Intel® Download Center is our official website where we have all the Intel® drivers available for download, as you can see in the link below. Besides that, the next thing to do is use the links provided previously since he Intel® Pentium® Processor B940 is under status of: End Of Interactive Support / Discontinued and currently there is no documentation about that product anymore:
