Installing drivers on an OEM

So i have an Acer Aspire Lite with an i7 1255u, 16GB DDR4 3200 mhz (1/2 slots used), 512 gb NVMe SSD. I tried installing new drivers with the driver assistant and after restarting and all that I was still on my old drivers, asked ChatGPT for help and it said it’s probably because I was using an OEM and that my pc was an pc only available in the Indian market. I was advised to check the acer drivers website for drivers for my exact model but the drivers were not updated and were the same drivers I was using help

Hi Chaze,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum.

Please be informed that product you are reporting is an OEM original equipment manufacturer device. Kindly take into consideration that our support may be limited since we are not familiar with the technology, settings and customizations that the OEM has designed on your system, However I will do my best to assist you with your concern.

To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:

  • The driver version you tried to install.
  • What other troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Thank you!
