Hello fozzie60,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel Iris XE Graphics.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:

1. Did you check this issue with the game developer? There are reports that this game from steam does not work with Windows 10.

2. What is the operating system installed as well as the version and build?

Hello fozzie60,

Thanks for the confirmation. In this case, I would like you to try the following:

1. Perform a clean install of the Intel drivers:

2. Check for any optional updates for Windows.

3. Try to get in contact with the game developer to confirm that it is compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11.

I removed the driver and ran on the Microsoft Basic Display driver and the game worked fine.  Installed driver and back to starting in Taskmgr but no display.

Here are the files.  Im hoping its just a setting, cause it works fine in basic driver, just nothing displays on XE driver.  The graphics report wont generate.

Hello fozzie60,

Thanks for your assistance. Based on the investigation, the game does not mention compatibility with Windows 10 or Windows 11 and this could be the reason for the issue.

Also, the Microsoft Basic Display driver could allow the game to run like it was an older Windows version, which made the game run.

At this point, I can recommend you check this behavior with the game developer to confirm if this is a known issue on their side and for further assistance.

Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.

Any update on this issue? I'm having the same problem, and I am already thinking about returning this hardware. This graphics card driver is not suitable for many old applications. The quality of Intel drivers and hardware is getting worse.

No problem. I will return all hardware containing this graphics card in my company, regardless if they use the old programs or not. Such bad customer support and bad drivers are unnacceptable today. Good luck selling this thing.
