Hi,
driver version 15.33.45.4653 for 3rd Gen hardware is not available via Windows Update.
Windows Update only offers the old version 15.33.43.4425.
Why is that?
Would Intel be able to get the new driver version onto Windows Update?
Regards

Microsoft uses other version numbers than Intel as described at https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005654/graphics-drivers.html Understanding the Intel® Graphics Driver Version Number
Actually the driver is there, but only for Lenovo rigs
www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=10.18.10.4653
From my understanding the drivers that appear at Windows update are a result of a collaboration of hardware vendors with Microsoft.

Yes, I realize that the driver versioning scheme differs between Intel and Microsoft. But since we are on the Intel forum, I used the Intel versioning scheme.
So, 10.18.10.4425 is there for everyone it seems, see:
http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=10.18.10.4425 Microsoft Update Catalog
Whereas 10.18.10.4653 is only there for some Lenovo devices according to what you said (I guess you are referring to the PCI IDs?), see:
http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=10.18.10.4653 Microsoft Update Catalog
But why is that?
Why can't the new version be made available for everyone as well, so that every HD 4000 user would automatically get the update via Windows Update?
Apparently it's necessary to run the new version for Miracast to work, see:
So, why not push the new version to Windows Update?
Is there nothing Intel can do about this?
