82945G Express Chipset - Code 43 Error - Win7

Problem: Built new system with D945GCLF2 board, and 82945G Express Chipset is throwing up a code 43 error, and device is disabled (OS = Win7, 2Gb DDR2)

Tried latest drivers from Intel download center, latest BIOS installed etc. tried deleting, installs standard VGA drivers with feature limitations. Tried to install latest drivers manually, but still get code 43 and device disables.

Played with BIOS settings - no config changes outcome; if I increase the aperture memory to 256Mb the systems goes black with no graphics output on boot.

Any help appreciated.

Solved! Problem was in BIOS Video Configuration settings. You need to set:

1. DVMT mode - DVMT

2. IGD DVMT Memory - Maximum DVMT

3. IGD Aperture size - 256 Mb

In other words, you just need to set your Int Grafics to the MAXIMUM.

Windows 7 have huge appetite... :))

Confirmed! Running Win7 32bit on a D945GCLF2 with 1GB ram and an Audigy 2 in the PCI slot.

The following graphics settings overcame the error code 43.

1. DVMT mode - DVMT

2. IGD DVMT Memory - Maximum DVMT

3. IGD Aperture size - 256 Mb

Thanks Erik!
