On new game WARDOGS im getting insane stutter, everything freezes EXACTLY every 1 second. The worst part is it's not just in-game, it happens even sitting in the settings menu just moving the mouse. Already ran LatencyMon and it doesn't flag anything abnormal on drivers/DPC. Already tried closing Game Bar, Steam overlay, Afterburner, messed with network adapter settings, nothing fixed it. Saw some people on Reddit reporting basically the same thing with this card. Any solution? Is there a specific driver version that fixes this or do we just have to wait for an Intel; game patch?
I regret buying this GPU...

I can confirm the exact same issue on my Intel Arc B580 specifically in Wardogs.
The micro-stutters and frame pacing hitches make the game unplayable.
I have already tested pretty much everything on my end: tweaking in-game graphics settings from lowest to ultra,
changing rendering modes, clearing the shader cache, and messing with global/per-game settings inside the Intel Arc software suite. Nothing seems to resolve the periodic freezing.
It really looks like a pipeline/driver profiling issue specific to this game and Arc Battlemage cards.
Hopefully the driver team can investigate this and coordinate with the developers for a fix.

I’m also experiencing severe stuttering with my Intel Arc B580 in WARDOGS. This is not simply low FPS — the game briefly freezes every few seconds, even with all graphics settings on Low. I also experience significant input delay with vehicles and weapon/item switching. Hopefully this can be investigated and addressed in a future Intel driver update.

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience and for the detailed testing you’ve already done.
Based on the symptoms you’re describing, there’s a possibility that the stuttering is related to the game still being in its beta/pre-release stage, rather than an issue with your Arc B580 hardware or a specific driver setting.
The official release of WARDOGS is scheduled for September 10, 2026. Pre-purchase WARDOGS on Steam It may be worth waiting until the stable version is released, as the developers may address performance, frame-pacing, and compatibility issues before or as part of the full launch.
For now, I’d recommend testing the game again after the official release and seeing whether the periodic freezes persist. If the issue continues on the stable build, that would provide a much stronger basis for investigating a potential Intel Arc driver or game-specific compatibility issue.
Hopefully the launch version resolves it! Thanks again for reporting the problem and providing the details.

Same her... Arc B580 is a great card for price to performance dont get me wrong, but im at the point where im gonna upgrade and not even consider intel for another 10 years minimum theyre just way too far behind and cant manage to catch up.

The fix for this was found by Krissy, as shown above in the youtube video.
Workaround: add -nogpucrashdebugging to the launch options
Open steam, go to library, right click Wardogs Playtest > Properties > General > Launch Options > add the option
Restart steam and open the game, enjoy.

This worked for me a for a couple of day. I then updated my drivers for the B580 and it no longer worked. Quit the game and checked that -nogpucrashdebugging was setup for launch. It was. So I then relaunched and it started working again. It was like updating drivers bypassed the launch option the first time I started the game.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for sharing your experiences and the workarounds you've tried for the stuttering/frame drop issues in Wardogs on Intel Arc graphics — really appreciate it.
Good news: we've rolled out fixes for stuttering and frame drops in newer Arc driver releases, including version 32.0.101.8993. Have you had a chance to try this one (or anything newer)? You can grab the latest driver here: Intel® Arc™ Graphics - Windows*
Let us know how it goes — your feedback really helps us pin down where things stand.
