ARC Driver update not installing (Installation failed with error code 0x8000847B (-2147449733)

I have an ARC A750 and I am currently on driver version 31.0.101.4314, which I have had issues with on multiple games like STAR WARS: The old republic and Siege X, issues like lots of unrendered objects and also artifacts in some lighting environment. I have tried to install the latest driver (32.0.101.6987) But it has failed multiple times with the error Installation failed with error code 0x8000847B (-2147449733). I have used DDU in safe mode with my wifi off and attempted to use the file to install the drivers, yet it has still failed seemingly. I don't know what to do any help would be appreciated.

Im on windows 11 and also using a r5 3600 if that is helpful.

Hi chickenfurnace,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To resolve this, please try the following:

  1. Download the latest graphics driver version.
  2. Extract the executable file you downloaded (you can use any third-party application for extracting .exe files) and create a new folder.
  3. Open Device Manager and right-click on the Intel Arc Graphics model.
  4. Select Properties.
  5. Choose Driver.
  6. Click Update Driver.
  7. Select Browse my computer for drivers.
  8. Choose Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
  9. Select Have Disk and navigate to the new folder where you extracted the downloaded graphics driver.
  10. Select the file name "gscheci.inf."
  11. Restart the system and wait for it to boot.
  12. Check if the graphics driver version is now updated to the latest one.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.
