Graphics update is asking me to update but wants to install the same SW / Firmware I have.

Seem the update system is not as smart as it should be.

Hi britgeezer,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the graphics update issue with your Arc B580. I understand that the update system is prompting you to install the same software/firmware you already have, which can be frustrating.

To assist you better, could you please provide the following information?

  1. A System Support Utility (SSU) report, if you are comfortable generating one. If not, please provide:
    • CPU model
    • Current graphics driver version
  1. A photo or screenshot of the issue you are encountering.

Additionally, if you prefer a faster resolution, a phone call might be more efficient. Please let me know a convenient time for us to reach you.

If you are not currently using the 32.0.101.6989 driver version, I recommend updating to it. You can download it from the following link: Intel Arc & Iris Xe Graphics Driver.

In case you encounter issues during the update, you might consider using the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to cleanly remove the existing drivers before reinstalling. More information on DDU can be found here: Intel Support Article on DDU.

Thank you for your cooperation. We are committed to resolving your issue promptly.

Best regards,
