Greetings everyone,
im refering to a former subject that i posted here which lead to the Creation of this Support article:
Intel® Arc™ Control Software Fails to Launch after...
Lately i have some issues again starting Arc Control on my System but this time i can get it running, but it seems to be random.
Arc Control is installed with the latest Driver Version 32.0.101.5762
And it was a clean install, i also tried reinstalling it several times, testing different driver Versions and all the Fixes from the Article too.
I noticed the following: When Arc Control gets started on the System i often get no Overlay information at the side of the screen. This also results in the Application not showing. There is no Window no matter how i try to start Arc Control and therefor no way to apply any changes. With Taskmanager and other Monitoring Programs like HWInfo i could conclude, that Arc Control seems to be active but not functional. All Processes are running but the changes i made in performance tuning, for example the maximum Power draw, do not apply. When this error occurs the Card runs with the default maximum of 190W and my Fan Curve does not apply either.
The only Soultion i found is simply restarting the PC over and over again until it works, which can be after 1 restart or after 9, seems to be completly random.
This also makes me question if any 3rd Party program blocking Arc Control is really the culprit, since it seems strange that it would run at all then after a few restarts.
My final solution which i try to avoid would be a Clean installation of windows, but this seems to be a problem occuring for several Users, atleast i found quite a few entries in different Forums about similar issues which did not include any working solution.
So i wanted to leave this information here, maybe it helps finding a final solution for this or atleast Users with similar issues can try the "restart until it works" fix.
Kind Regards,
Warden

I Have some additional information regarding this issue.
I looked a bit more into Windows Logs and also the Intel Logs where i noticed a pattern. Everytime the Application fails to load correctly the Error seems to be connectet to the Process ArcControAssist.exe
Looking further into the Logs i found Errors regarding Server Connection amongst several others that might be just follow-up errors.
So i tried just force-stopping all processes connected to Arc Control and then Restart the Application as Admin. And it works! So instead of having to restart the PC it is enough to kill the Process and restart it over and over again until it runs, still not perfect but much less of an issue than constantly restarting the whole system.
