Arc Control uses too much processor

Intel Arc Control my processor sees 80-90%. There was no such problem for the last week, but now as soon as the computer is turned on, it constantly rises to 60, 70, 80. No matter what I tried, I couldn't fix it. Is there a solution?

Hello Maybewalker44.

Thank you for jumping into the Intel Community. We understand that the Arc Control has high CPU usage, and we will be more than glad to help you. Before we provide you with more details, we would like to confirm more information about your issue:

  • Besides the CPU usage, is there a high memory usage when opening the Arc Control?
  • Share with us a Screenshot of the Task manager under the performance tab, showing the Arc Control system usage.
  • To gather more information about your system, please provide us with the Intel®️ System Support Utility (Intel®️ SSU) report:
    • Download the Intel SSU
    • Open the application and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel®️ SSU will take you to the "Summary View."
    • Click on the menu where it says: "Summary" to change it to "Detailed View."
    • To save your scan: click "Next"; then "Save."

Hello Maybewalker44,

Based on the task manager screenshot you shared with us, we have observed that Arc Control is consuming a lot of memory. We want to let you know that we have noticed an error with the Arc Control version 1.73.5334.1, where the application will start to incrementally consume RAM (memory leak).

The high memory consumption could be the reason behind the high CPU usage. We want to let you know that this problem has been addressed in version 1.73.5335.2, which is available in driver 31.0.101.4826 or later. We suggest that you download and install this driver.

If, after installing driver 4826, you still see Arc Control version 1.73.5334.1:

  • Clear your browser cache.
  • Re-download driver 31.0.101.4826.
  • Re-install driver 31.0.101.4826.

Best regards,
