Black Ops 2 Reticle Issue - HD 4000

When you are playing on Black Ops 2 single player, multiplayer, or zombies, any reticles on any red dot scope does not show. This glitch is present in Intel HD 4000 Graphics driver 15.28.12.64.2932(9.17.10.2932). It is also present in Windows 7 or Windows 8. This glitch was also present in the Nvidia graphics driver, but driver version 310.90 has succesfully fixed the glitch on all Nvidia based GPUs, which leads me to believe this is a graphics driver issue. Here is a youtube video that clearly shows the glitch in action on HD 4000: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avNU6suUfUc Missing Reticle Black ops 2 NEED HELP PC - YouTube

Any help on the problem would be great, as I have tried everything.

Hi Scott,

So you're saying the Reticle is now showing properly, but the game is consistently freezing? Can you provide a more detailed explanation of the problem, as well as steps to reproduce the issue?

Thanks,

-Nic

Nic,

Yes the reticle works perfectly now and when playing mp the maps load a lot faster however once the map has loaded "awaiting game state" appears and I sit there for about 3 minutes until it starts, that's if I am not kicked from the server however even when I am not the screen freezes immediately when the game begins. Sometimes it freezes permanently and others it will play. As for the single player campaign, the video clips sound is normal but the images themselves are far behind the sound speed and extremely glitchy, when the sound has finished and the images finally reach there conclusion a wait time of about 5 mins occurs and the game begins.

Nic sorry for the bad news mate but I honestly don't know much about computers so explaining steps on how to reproduce this problem is as simple as download the game and press play, sorry again mate. I don't have a very good laptop for gaming either so maybe that's the problem, I have a Toshiba satellite I5 Intel hd 4000, 8 GB mem, 2 processors 1.70 ghz x2, graphics memory 1792 MB.

Nic, if it helps, after the game has finally loaded, multi-player that is, it freezes and gives me a "lost connection" I have no problem with my internet. One thing that is always consistently wrong is once I enter online, the treyarch symbol for loading is extremely glitchy, even though the maps load fast once the treyarch symbol shows it loads slowly and glitchy. This does not happen with the prvious driver.

I realize that it's been about a month since the last post, but I believe this will be of relevance.

Map loads quickly, but hangs on "Awaiting Gamestate" "Waiting for other players", etc. Takes about a minute to actually load in. Sometimes works and allows me to go in game, sometimes it just disconnects me straight up.

Everything plays smoothly otherwise.

FPS counter is from in-game settings.

Thanks for the video BladeMaverick! @Scott: Can you confirm that this is the same issue you are seeing or not? From what I can tell this looks like normal behavior, what are you comparing it with?

Thanks,

-Nic

By chance any update to a potential fix? Even with recent updates to Black Ops 2 and nothing has changed since the video. Still takes up to a minute to connect to a server. I'm presuming issues with shadow rendering (though shadows are disabled) prior to loading a level.

The Xbox 360 version that I have has no issues connecting to Treyarch or hosts on my network. Others that I've researched have had no issues with this while using AMD/nVidia graphic chips.

Hi BladeMaverick,

Have you tried our latest driver (3165) to see if the issue still persists?

Thanks,

-Nic

Driver Date : 5/7/2013

Driver Version : 9.1810.3165

What I have been using for the past month. I have tried adjusting the BIOS and allocating 512 MB of RAM dedicated to the Intel HD 4000 to see if it made a difference. FPS/Frames-Per-Second wise, yes, dramatically helped, but load time has remained the same. Slow.

Is there by chance an update of a fix?
