Hi everybody,
I first installed Windows 8.1 Pro on a system with a E3845 Bay Trail I processor. With the standard microsoft graphics driver the graphic is poor but at least it works.
Then I installed the Intel® HD Graphics driver for Windows* 8/8.1 (64-bit). After installation is done the graphic is perfect.
However, if I reboot it takes between 15 to 60 minutes until I can see something on my LVDS display.
I see BIOS starting, then Windows 8 logo and after it boots to Windows I can see nothing else but a black screen.
Strange behaviour: If I put my system into stand-by and back by pushing the power button (in the black screen waiting time), it comes over it and works directly.
My system:
CPU Board: designed by exceet electronics AG
Processor: Intel® Atom™ Processor E3845
eDP to LVDS bridge: NXP PTN3460
LVDS Display: Tested with a Mitsubishi 1280x800 and a Chimei 1024x768
I tested now many different configurations with different graphics drivers (also previous versions), chipset driver and so on. Nothing works.
Another test with WES8 instead of Win 8.1 Pro had the same result.
I also tested without LVDS display but with HDMI and that's even worse because windows crashes completely while booting.
Because I see my display working during BIOS and also with standard driver, it cannot be a problem with hardware. There must be something going wrong during initialization of the Intel graphics driver!
Your help will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hello Sebastian, thanks for joining the Intel Community.
Please attach the DX Diag report for your system as soon as possible in order to check some information from your system? (Start -> Run -> dxdiag -> Save All Information).
Bear in mind that we always recommend customers to download and install the drivers provided by the system manufacture, since our drivers are generic drivers and sometimes these cannot be installed on other systems or the installation of them could overwrite their customizations and possibly change the functionality of the graphics.
We highly recommend customer to use straight connections, because the use of adapters for different technologies may result on unpredictable behaviors.

The latest graphics drivers available at our site are version 3958 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24329 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24329, but these drivers are valid for Intel® HD Graphics Drivers for Intel® Pentium® Processors and Intel® Celeron® Processors only.
You are free to try them, however as I mentioned it before we recommend customers to install the drivers provided by the system manufacture.

The *.exe and *.zip file links are down on https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24329 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24329.
In the meantime I found out, that if I set the "turn off the display time" to 1min, I have just to wait for 1min at the restart and then hit a key or move the mouse and the display turns on.
Obviously the display must first turn off and on before it works!
