Hi guys & gals,
This is driving me up the wall.. whenever I connect an external display to my laptop via the HDMI port to use them both in extended dual monitor mode the internal display on the laptop goes dim and the brightness control doesn't work.. the only solution I've been able to find is if I go into the device manager and change the driver for the display adapter from the Intel HD Graphics 4000 current driver, to the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, this fixes the brightness on the lap but in order to get the picture back on the external monitor I have to go back to the Intel HD graphics 4000 driver.. this works but I unhook my laptop for school and work daily so this is a pain in the you know what.. and yes I've disabled the adaptive brightness in the power options, didn't help.. PLEASE HELP - see stats below.
Tried 3 Intel drivers, 10.18.10.4252, 10.18.10.4276, & currently 15.33.38.64.4252 with no luck..
