Bugcheck: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Seems this is a common issue with BSOD, but I thought I would go ahead and make the ticket anyway to contribute more information.

BSOD on heavy use of Intel Arc Pro B70.  I have had BSOD will working with LLMs and gaming.  Monitoring GPU temps, it looks like the issue occurs if the temperature hits 80C.  I can run steady for a long time at 70C, but if something pushes the card a little harder and temps hit 80C it is instant BSOD.

Windows 11, Intel Arc Pro Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8517.

I have already been through several threads on here and tried the various recommendations, including Intel DDU and a clean driver install.

Hello John_Coppola,

Greetings from Intel Customer Support,

Thank you for sharing the detailed information and the troubleshooting steps already performed. We understand that you have already used Intel DDU and performed a clean graphics driver installation.

After reviewing the SSU report, we confirmed that your motherboard BIOS version is already up to date according to the motherboard manufacturer’s website. However, we also noticed that the currently installed graphics driver version 32.0.101.8517 is not the latest available release.

The latest Intel graphics driver version currently available is 32.0.101.8737. Since driver-related stability improvements are included in newer releases, we kindly request you to test the system using the latest graphics driver version and monitor the behavior during heavy workloads.

After updating, please let us know:

  • Whether the BSOD issue still occurs
  • GPU temperatures observed during workload
  • Any BSOD stop codes or Event Viewer errors generated
  • Whether the issue still reproduces consistently near 80°C

Additionally, please note that as of September 19, 2025, Intel will be moving 11th - 14th Gen Intel Processor Graphics and related Intel Atom®, Pentium®, and Celeron® processor graphics to a legacy software support model. Intel will provide software support for affected products on critical fixes and security vulnerabilities only. Software updates for these products will move to a quarterly release cadence with additional critical releases as needed.

Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to your update.

Best regards,

Roy

32.0.101.8517 is the latest version of the Arc PRO Graphics Drivers.  I will try the 32.0.101.8737 drivers to see if they fix the issue.

Thank you for the information on 11th - 14th Gen Processors.
