I'm trying to get multichannel audio from hdmi port.
my system is :
- Asus z170-a Motherboard
- Intel I3 6100 cpu
- 16 GB DDR4 2400 mhz
- Realtek internal audio
- No other VGA
- OS: windows 10 pro 64bit
currently just getting stereo from hdmi intel display port connected to tv and the tv to home theater by fiber.
the playback device is not supporting any audio compression format.
My cheap old notebook can do 5.1 with the same setup.
Any suggestion?
thank you for your time.

Hi SERGiooooo,
I am going to try to resolve the issue.
Skylake processors support up to Audio 7.1, more details on page 42
6th Generation Intel® Core™ Processor Family Datasheet, Vol. 1
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/desktop-6th-gen-core-family-datasheet-vol-1.html
First, let's try to narrow down the issue. Make sure you are using the latest BIOS of the motherboard 1801, install the latest Chipset and Management Engine drivers then, install the latest Windows® 10 updates. Finally, install the latest graphics driver for HD 530.

Intel® Beta Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 version: 4444
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25957/Intel-Beta-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88345
Restart the computer and do a test. Let me know the results. If problem continues, please send me the brand name of your TV and Home Theater.
In regards to compression, go to play back devices, right click TV (speakers), select Properties, go to Advanced tab and change rate and bit depth to the lowest.

Dear Sir
First let me thank you for your assistance. I tried to update all my drivers before contacting you with no luck. All drivers are up-to-date but I'm not sure regarding the order of drivers installation since the software that comes with my Asus board installs all drivers in a single step (1 reboot).
My TV is Hisense Android TV "55k4903d" and my home theater is LG (will check the model number later on currently not home) that support 96khz 24bits dts and ac3 dolby. ( tested with my PS3).
I will start by uninstalling the current VGA driver from device manager, rebooting and installing the beta one suggested by you, If it didn't work I'll reinstall windows with your suggested order. I'll keep you posted.
Again thank you for your support.

Well I uninstalled intel graphic driver from control panel.
Double checked device manager and scanned for new hardware ( Microsoft driver replaced intel's)
Removed manualy intel's audio port from device manager
did a reboot
reinstalled the beta driver.
Did a reboot.
Unfortunately it didn't work.

With all the updates from 3 monthes till now. I still didnt get lucky. I'm considering upgrading to i7 if that would fix the issue. But i'm afraid of paying 300 bulks for nothing. can you please confirm if that would do the trick?
