New computer, and I'm having three days of head ache on this intel graphics 4600 control panel to put my rig to output on HDMI Home Theater.
First I connect the cable. The notebook lowers it's resolution to something like 1200x???. The TV is off. Right click desktop and put it back to the right resolution (1920x1080).
Good.
- Now I Switch to duplicate mode, and mark the integrated screen as the primary.
- Then I check the "Videoless audio" option in Intel's control panel for the HomeTheater HTX70 device it easily detected and identified.
Me: Good. Now let's play a low resolution game.
Intel: No. You won't !
Me: But I choose no video output. Only Audio !
Intel: I Don't care for you !
Ok, let's set it to computer screen only.
Result: No audio output on the Home Theater, whether the sample game worked.
Let's put the clone mode back and turn on the TV (not that I want the TV in first place) !
Voila ! Both worked.
Wait... What are these stupid black strip on every side of the screen !?
Ok... let's re-scale to fit fullscreen.
Where is this option on the intel's control panel ?
NO F*** WHERE !
Now you want the Gold information ?
THE GAME WORKED YESTERDAY !
LET ME MAKE CLEAR HOW IT WORKED: AUDIO ON THE HOME THEATER, TV OFF, MONITOR ON, AND NO STRIPS.
Would intel kindly explain How do I set things back to work ?
Better yet: implement a decent control panel, and a decent scaling algorithm.
Because my game should NOT be seeing that there's a TV connected, as the Integrated Screen is selected as primary on the Contr. Pan !
And specially, because there isn't even image output for it to consern about !
None of this crap used to happen on my nVidia computer !
Driver 15.33.8.64.3345
Edit:
Next day, I'm calmer, and I think intel deserves a more lucid explanation of why I'm actually angry
I've bought a computer with and Geforce GTX 765 graphic card, and this intel garbage came within.
I call that "intrusion", for starting, virus, on the middle, and I'll keep to myself the real top adjective in question.
Maybe not intel's fault.
Maybe not even a problem, but a bonus, if the thing worked right.
I'm angry also because I didn't have to worry on searching and marking that "videoless audio"* option. I could simply shutdown my TV on the previous GeForce computer and never expect any unpleasant surprise.
Guess how it works now ?
Answer: It doesn't work at all !
Sometimes this garbage doesn't even know there is an HDMI device connected to the PC !
I have to select screen only, and then go back to clone mode (Win+P).
Unplugging and plugging back doesn't work...
I'm angry because nVidia had an option to scale the non Widescreen application to fullscreen When I wanted. And now, this option was removed by intel on the frigging nVidia control panel.
Do I need to explain more ?
Forgive If I sound rude, but I deserve a solution (me and all those people on google that have millions of different problems with HDMI)
*Videoless audio or something like that on a free translation. My system language is not english.
Edit 2:
Recent discover:
Many tested games work with extended desktop, but not Cloned.
Why ???
Extended desktop show a wide range of possible resolutions. Cloned screen displays full HD and 1280x720
Why ??????
Edit 3:
I did not say what my rig was:
Notebook Avell G1711 (probably a copy of a Gigabyte P2742G)
Connected via HDMI to a HTX70 Home Theater.
This home theater is connected via HDMI to a HBTV-32L02HD Television
If I turn off the TV, the PC recognizes only the HomeTheater. The Home theater reproduces any sound and music from windows, keeping the image to the computer.
If I turn the TV on, the PC recognizes the TV, and sends the image there, and the sound to the Home Theater.
Now, if I try to play anything with the TV on... Meeh!
I am testing these things with the oldest game I could find of when I was vagabond: Carmageddon TDR 2000, and NFS underground.
IT SHOULD WORK AS GOOD OR BETTER AS IT WORKED WITH MY NVIDIA INDEPENDENT VIDEO CARD
Edit 4:
There is an unstarted device (Code 10) called Hight Definition Audio Controller
Guess what it's brand is:
Ven 8086
Dev 0c0c
Intel Haswell HD Audio controller - which has no driver on intel's page.
Reinstalled the 15.33.8.64.3345 for the tenth time. Thing disappears temporarily after restarting. Then this problem comes back (AKA: this driver crashes every time I try to play the sample game)
Tried to install the Audio driver many times. No change. Also tried nVidia driver.

ARE YOU FREAKIN JOKING ON US INTEL !?!?!?!?!?!?
Don't think you care (don't even think that your employees on this community will even give the following tip to the marketing sector), but here it goes:
Expect bad review with my name and signature on it. I will post everywhere I can.
