Cant install iris update

I am trying to install the iris graphics card ,I downloaded it ,install it ,reboot laptop and the screen is black . I left it for a while but it did nothing . So in the end I had to reset the laptop to factory settings ,I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue ? If so how did u resolve it ? I've been on to msi who gave stated its not the laptop more of a software issue so no luck there ,any advice would be a great help
